I have hurriedly put this page together, and I should have done it before now. I chose the song that is playing, not because he is a fan of Hank Williams, but as you can see from the Photos, Time Marches on.

The earliest picture was taken in 1936 and my father was 8 at the time. He was born Richard Henry Reynolds on August 24, 1928. He married my Mom in 1947 and I was born in 1953. It was 1971 when My sister was born, so I was basically raised an only child and she was as well. I left home when I was 17.

My Father was 19 and my Mom had just turned 16 when they got married. They are still married today. I would like to say everything was perfect but it was not. Our perfect family hit a few bumps in the road, but survived none the less. Some of this song is true and I will leave it at that.

My Dad graduated from High School and got a job with Southern Bell. As far as I know that is the only place he ever worked. My Dad always took care of his family and he continues to do so today. Even though he is retired from the phone company he and my Mom help my sister raise her daughter. This is done out of love and convenience. Luckily my Sister lives 2 doors down from my parents and can be there in a flash. Since my sister and Robert work, my parents are able to pitch in and help her with their child by letting her live with them.

On Memorial day 1998 my dad suffered his first Heart attack, It almost killed him. Thanks to my sister and my brother-in-law he is alive today. Their quick action got him to the hospital in time, but it was close. Our Family is fortunate that my sister lives close to my parents. She can be there in a flash.

Even after that first heart attack he continued to smoke, and 6 weeks ago he had to have a double bypass, and on Nov 2, 2004 he had to have an anurism on his main aorta repaired. As the Song says Mom is out of touch with reality and Dad is under the Maple tree, We often kid my MOM that reality comes and goes with her, but DAD is NOT under any tree. I am sure without her he would be though. My parents are Soul Mates and continue to take care of each other in there own way.

I got married in 1975 and joined the ARMY.We have not lived within 200 miles of my parents since then except for a couple years when I got out of the army in 1980. So we haven't been as close as we should and I am sure my Children have missed some quality time with their Grandparents and they sure as heck have missed alot as well.
