Every now and then a product comes along that is based on an existing concept but vastly improved. I have the good fortune to find this product and test it here in Georgia waters. If you have ever fished the Savannah River system, you know that a constant here is wind. Very few days go by that we are not impacted by wind.

These corks do not tangle! I have used the inticer with up to a 3 ft. leader and the outcast with a 4 foot leader on an 8 foot spinning reel. The short leader in the picture is a demonstration on how to rig it. Also a small weight is not needed on the leader.

These Guys at Midcoast have developed 6 Fishing Corks and I highly endorse all of them. They are each a form of the popping cork that we all have used but much better! You have to try one to see that you really can use this system in wind with very little worrys of tangling your line. The popping/clicking feature is better than the traditional competitors. Please visit their website for more product information . I will say these are 6 corks that will work on your traditional baitcasters as well as spinning outfits. The inticer is more of a popping cork and the Outcast is for distant casting. However I promise you will get more distance out of these than any of the competitors and still maintain the original concept when the popping cork was first developed.

When you look at the inticer, in the picture below, it is easy to not see the small metal bead in between the crystal beads. There is one on the top and bottom of the corks. These small beads create a sound much clearer than the older brass beads. The beauty of this system is the weights are fixed on the bottom of the cork and will not knock the center out of the cork. MidCoast Products are wholesale only, if anyone (other than retailers of fishing tackle) wants to buy these products they will have to order them from one of the established retailers listed on their web site, which is very easy to do.

If you are still not convinced, book a charter with me and see these work first hand! I am in the process of transitioning all my popping outfits to these fine products. These are durable and the workmanship shows alot of pride as does their website.
