Capt.
Jeremy had a 3 person 6 hour trip today. He reported that the water temp
was 68° and the water was stained at most locations. The wind picked
up to 12 k out of the Nw later in the day. They fished the last hour of
the outgoing and most of the incoming. The trout bite is still slow, but
they also picked off a very juvenile bonnethead shark. They kept a few
trout, but had to tag and release a 30 inch redfish. The fall pattern
is slowly developing in our area. All fish caught on live shrimp from
ADAMS BAIT HOUSE. The last Picture is Capt. Jeremy with Shea, who brought
the 30 inch redfish to the boat.

Capt.
Jeremy had a 4 person 6 hour trip yesterday and today. He was fortunate
enough to have 2 great guys that were happy to be out on the water chasing
fish. Capt. Jeremy left the camera on 10.16.2011, so these pictures are
of the fish they caught today. Jim and Don joined us from from Athens
Georgia to fish our coast. They decided to do 2 days fishing. The Bite
has been average to slow with the most bites coming on the high falling
tide. Water temp was in the low 70's and air temps started cooler and
warmed up to the 80's.
The
key to catching these fish were you had to find clear water and get on
or near the bottom. Sunday they spent the day fishing Wassaw Sound and
Saltponds. They kept a few Speckled sea trout and released a few undsized
ones. We have not had cold enough weather to discourage the yellowtails,
pinfish, needlefish and gars yet. A couple weeks ago the water temp was
dropping and the bite was much better. Until we establish a good fall
bite, plan on using alot of live bait or try fishing gulp shrimp and mullet
under a popping cork.
Today they explored the Savannah River and the Back River in Carolina
and kept a few redfish as well as tagging one. The water up there was
not very clear and there is still some water coming down state from all
the rain during the past week. First pic is a yellowtail.
Nice slot red that Dan caught.
Another nice redfish that Dan caught. Notice his Kooks Club hat!
This is a picture of Jim holding a nice Carolina Redfish. The Reds up
the river have a deeper red color than the reds out in Wassaw Sound.

Capt.
Rick had a 4 person 6 hour trip today. Started early at 7am and we stayed
out until 1:30. The fish are out there, but for us we had to look hard
for them. Water temp was 72 and the air temp started in the 50's but climbed
into the lower 80's.We had a stiff west wind, but the day was
certainly fishable. We kept 3 speckled seatrout, a bluefish and
a whiting. However we Tagged and Released 1 ( 29 inch ) redfish. Then
the Other Chris ended the day with a 25 inch redfish that we released.
I had a very enjoyable time with these 2 couples, the girls caught the
Trout and the Men muscled in the reds. The 29" redfish powered himself
up deeply in the grass, but Chris number 2 kept a cool head and let the
drag play the fish. The only danger of losing this fish was if he got
hung up in the marsh grass or cut the line on oysters. Neither was the
case. He was landed and tagged. The larger of the 2 redfish weiged in at
12.9 lbs.
Above is Chris #2 with his 29 inche redfish, that weighed in at 12.9 lbs.

Capt.
Rick had a 4 person 6 hour trip today. Started early at 7am and had to
fish a very high tide and very fast current. This was caused by the new
moon phase, which is like a full moon. Currents are faster and its more
difficult to find clear water. We fished thru a cold front that pushed
tinto the area. Winds were out of the north west at 15 to 20 knots. We
did have some difficulty finding clear water out of the wind. I had the
Cody family again and wished we could have kept more. We wound up keeping
1 redfish and 3 speckled sea trout and 1 blue fish. Caught a few short
trout, but only a few keepers today. Also caught a few yellowtails and
pinfish. Water temp has been fluctuating and the fall fishing pattern
has started, but until the temps level out or continue to drop, its going
to be hit or miss. This was a special family that stuck with it even though
the conditions were less than desirable. They had a good day as a family
on the water and enjoyed watching each other catch what we could.
