Capt.
Rick had an 5 hour 2 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. Today
we had to deal with some significant wind from the southwest. We started
at low tide and managed 1 keeper trout before relocating. Moved alot ,but
was able to get into some decent redfish, with the largest going 22 and
1/2 inches. Also caught some more trout,a and a bonnet head shark. Released
the shark and small trout. Kept enough for a meal and everone had a great
time. We departed the dock at 8:45 and returned at 2:10 pm.

Capt.
Rick had an 5 hour 4 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. Today
we were part of a 13 boat group trip. Left the house at 5 am and just
finished getting gear ready for tomorrows 5 hour trip. Today the wind
blew from the ne , but changed to a south west wind. Even with the wind,
we found clear water and kept 8 redfish, 6 trout. Released a bonnethead
shark and 3 redfish over 24 inches. Great day on the water except one
of my anglers managed to unscrew the reel seat and dropped the reel into
the river with the bail open. Therefore I had to dump about 250 yrds of
30lb braid to pull it up. Luckily when I had it spooled, they tied a great
knot. But the reel is trashed as I washed with water from a bottle and
with a hose and a bucket soak, but too late the bearings are gone.. Our
boat also won the mini tournament with the boat with the highest number
of pounds of fish.

Capt.
Jeremy had an 4 hour 4 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters.
He was able to run an inshore trip today since Miss Judy was not going
offshore. Very windy and rough out in the sound. Water temp has slipped
back up to 74 and was clear in some spots. Was able to guide his group
to a few fish today. They released about 10 reds and approx that many
short trout. All in All a good day. Also got a picture of an Eagle on
a sailboat mast. They kept 6 redfish and 5 trout.

Capt.
Jeremy had an 4 hour 4 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters.
He was able to run an inshore trip today since Miss Judy was not going
offshore. He reported water temps in the low 70's and the water was clear.
Today he was fishing an outgoing tide with a 20 knot southeast wind blowing.
Fishing in these conditions are hard at best. The tide, which is strong
as we are coming off a full moon was out of step with the wind blowing
in. This caused confused seas, very stained water and extremely rough
boat rides in and out of Wassaw Sound. However Capt. Jeremys group still
caught a lot of fish, and kept 10 redfish, 1 black drum and 2 whiting.
Not bad for 4 hours in turbid conditions.

Capt.
Jeremy had an 4 hour 2 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters.
He was able to run an inshore trip today since Miss Judy was not going
offshore. He reported water temps in the low 70's and the water was clear.
However the wind continued to blow. They departed Miss Judys dock at 7am
and had a great day of catching and release. The moon is still coming
off being full and the tides and currents were higher and faster than
normal. You can see in his pictures how rough it was out in Wassaw sound.
Below you can see the line in the grass where a 24 inch red has him, line
is yellow. Followed by the redfish in the next picture.

Capt.
Rick had an 4 hour 2 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. We
departed her dock at 8am and fished until 12pm. Caught a number of fish
including 3 sharks released and a 2 lb bluefish. The bluefish this year
are larger than the normal chomper size that seem to be here most of the
year. Water temp hovered between 69°
and 71°
degrees. Water clarity was excellent if you could get out of the wind.We
fished hard and kept a few fish for a couple of meals and released the
rest. Below is the full moon setting in the west when I left the dock
this morning, followed quickly by the sunrise in the east.

Capt.
Rick had an 4 hour 4 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters, however
it was a huge multiboat trip, I think there was 12 inshore and 2 offshore
boats involved. Lots of people. A couple of my guys had never done this
and we did struggle to get fish in the boat. Lost about 100 yrds of line
between 3 large loops that caused me to have to cut the line. We kept
4 trout and all was caught in the Back River.

Capt.
Rick had an 6 hour 2 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters, however
it was supposed to be a 3 person charter, so I had extra equipment and
bait on board. All fish were caught on live shrimp from Adams bait house.
Water temp is holding around 71° all day. Tides are starting to spring
again an the current was very fast due to the fact that were are on the
cusp of a full moon.
One
of my guys said he never catches fish, and he didn't do any better today,
he caught a couple which were 2 more than he had ever caught. We did catch
a lot of short trout and redfish, but kept a couple slot reds one speckled
trout and 1 decent flounder. The flounder was our best fish today.

Capt.
Jeremy had an 5 hour 3 person charter today for Miss Judy. Went thru 2
quarts of shrimp from Adams Bait house. This was a catch and release day.
They caught quite a few Redfish, Black Drum, Seatrout and flounder. Had
a good day on the water, although it was very windy.

Capt.
Rick had an 4 hour 2 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. We
had a rough time starting out as a cold front had pushed thru during the
nite. Air temp was low 50's and the wind blew from the west, then changed
to northeast at 15. It was during the change that we were able to find
clear water at 74°. We had a lot of bites and caught alot of fish
and kept 16 trout and 4 redfish. All fish caught on popping corks with
live shrimp from Adams Bait house. These 2 customers, Keith and Cindy
were excellent anglers. Cindy didn't miss many bites at all.

Capt.
Jeremy had an 5 hour 4 person charter today. Winds were light and variable.
They decided to catch a few more, but kept 3 flounder 6 redfish and 2
trout. Released quite a few more. Cut the 3rd flounder almost out of the
picture.

Capt.
Rick had an 4 hour 3 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. My
boat was 1 of 8 inshore boats and 2 offshore boats. Capt. Jeremy is Miss
Judys first mate the month of October and November, however he will be
running an inshore trip on 10.14.2010
( tomorrow). Water temp today was 74 and clear. Wind kicked up out of
the southwest at about 10- 15 knots. I have inshores scheduled Friday
and Saturday.
The
actual trip started at 1 pm and ended at 5pm. It was suppossed to be catch
and release, but 1 person on my boat wanted to keep fish so we did. Kept
10 speckled sea trout and 2 redfish and 1 whiting that hooked himself
while I was untangling the customers line. SInce the trip was so late,
no sunrise, but a picture of a heron. Since there was 10 boats, I had
to take the fish back to the marina and clean them there and wait on my
customer to take the bus from Miss Judys back downtown, then get his vehicle
and drive on out to Thunderbolt. All fish caught on popping corks with
live shrimp.

Capt.
Rick had an 8 hour 4 person charter today , for Miss Judy Charters. Trip
started at 7:00 am. Leaving the dock at 6:30 ran into a significant bank
of fog, and had to carefully make way to Miss Judys. Fog broke but thickened
up in Turners Creek. Trip was supposed to be 5 people but turned out to
be 4. Water temp was 73°-74°
at most drops. Started off Fishing the Saltponds and ended the day in
the Wilmington river. Kept a total of 18 fish, and released at least that
many or more. The group consisted of a Father and Son and his 2 nephews.
Its always a pleasure to fish with a family that enjoys fishing. Would
have liked to have kept a few more redfish, but we kept an assortment.
We kept 8 speckled sea trout, 3 blue fish, 1 whiting, 1 bonnethead shark
and 3 redfish and 2 nice flounders.

Capt.
Rick had a 5 hour 5 person charter, for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started
at 7:30 am. Started off with the water temp in the upper 70's down from
83 degrees of last Sunday. Wind was suppossed to be 5 knots out of the
North East, but started blowing about 15 to 20. We caught 1 shark and
a few short trout and bluefish, before moving back inshore. Once back
inshore, we hit a couple drops before finding a few keeper redfish. We
had some throwbacks but kept 11 redfish. It was difficult with the wind
so the 2 ladys on the trip decided to watch while the 3 guys caught the
fish. All fish caught on live shrimp from Adams Bait house.
